Legal Tab: Free Text Mode for Imprint, Privacy Policy, and Terms and Conditions
In the cockpit under Center → Website → Tab “Legal”, you can activate a free text mode for each legal page.
Behavior
| Mode | Website |
|---|---|
| Off (Default) | Structured display from the company fields in the Legal tab (Company, Register, Data Protection Officer, etc.) or template (e.g., MEC). Existing pageDescription content in the database remains unchanged. |
| On | Only the formatted HTML text from the rich text editor is displayed (Route /impressum, /datenschutz, /agb). |
Storage (without data loss)
- Toggle:
PageContent.customContent.legal.freeTextMode(per center andpageType) - Content:
PageContent.pageDescription(HTML, normalized as with other CMS pages) - When deactivating the free text mode, the saved HTML text is not deleted – it is simply no longer displayed.
Terms and Conditions
- Route:
/agb(Multi-Tenant:/[center-slug]/agb) - Without free text mode: a short note on the website that the terms and conditions are being maintained.
SEO / Hero
Title, subtitle, and meta data can still be maintained in the respective page tabs (e.g., “Page: Imprint”). The free text mode only affects the main content of the page.
Templates
Applies across templates for all center websites that utilize the common legal clients (ImpressumPageClient, DatenschutzPageClient, AgbPageClient) or MEC-CMS extraction.
Goldbeck: /impressum and /datenschutz use the same logic (GoldbeckLegalPageContent): with active free text mode, the HTML content from pageDescription is rendered; without free text, the cockpit legal fields are used, otherwise the previous static Goldbeck fallback. See Goldbeck – Website Tab.
