Social Media — Introduction (Outstand in the Background)

For whom: Editorial and Center Marketing — without needing to log into Outstand.

Outstand is the technical service that delivers posts on Facebook, Instagram, etc. You work in the Cockpit under Social Cockpit.


What / Why / Who / Where

WhatLink channels, write post, submit for approval, publish after OK.
WhySame approval logic as the website — nothing goes live unverified.

Checklist (in order)

  • 1. Select Center (top of the dashboard)
  • 2. Link channelsSocial Cockpit → Link Channels or Center → Tab Social Media · Assign Outstand profiles (often IT the first time)
  • 3. Create PostSocial Cockpit → Create Post · Select text, image, center, channels
  • 4. Submit for Approval — Button Submit for Approval (do not publish live yourself if you do not have an approval role)
  • 5. Check ApprovalSocial Cockpit → Approvals (/dashboard/social/approvals) — four areas: For Approval, Revision, Drafts, Live & Scheduled
  • 6. After Going Live — optional Reporting and Engage (comments) — metrics may be slightly delayed → Refresh

How to Test

  1. Save a test post as a Draft — does it appear under approvals → Drafts?
  2. Test post For Approval — can the approver see it under For Approval?
  3. After approval: Is the post under Live & Scheduled · Channel badges visible?
